Just got my handi Rifle barrel back from the machinist. Cut the 357 Mag tube 10 16" and reinstalled sights. Added threads for Thompson Machine ISIS 9mm suppressor. I tried a marlin suppressed and it was really quiet at subsonic speeds and many bullets expand readily at that velocity. Although, I am planning on as heavy a cast bullet as the barrel will spin. Waiting on ISIS paperwork at ATF. I think I will be a great youth deer gun with full power ammo as well.

By golly that will work.
38 specials would be nice a quiet, and cheap.
You thinking 180 grain or 200?

Cheers, John

man i like that concept. i'm thinking of doing something sililar with a cz 527 in 7.62x39....hopeing to end up with something like a factory 300 whisper. not sure how heavy a bullet it will stabilize loaded at subsomic speeds though. my daughter already uses the same rifle as her "youth" deer gun

good luck with the new toy

I am thinking 200 or the 230 Penn Thunderhead if it will stabilize.
