Decided to sit last night in another spot. Pigs had been hitting the feeder around 2 to 3 AM but it was cool so maybe earlier! Was fixing to leave at 11 when I heard the grunt of a sounder. I could not tell where they were but they walked in to the lights! Two maybe 65-70 the rest twenties. The two bigger ones sort of lined up and I touched one off! I could only see one kicking. Waited a few to let things quite down, then took the live round out of the chamber. To my surprise them came back! Chambered another round and waited for two to line up and touched off number two. One went straight down! First one was a small sow, there were drops of blood and fire ant cover flesh leaving and out side the feeder pen. So I must of gotten a piece of the second one. The little one looked like I had stuck it with a wide bladed knife! Bled completely out, big hole! Going back to get the truck I noticed one strand of barbed wire broken. All that air and I shoot a wire into. I guess the bullet came apart and the jacket hit the pig causing the huge hole! Got my Seek but the place is just too brushing, couldnt find the others. When I left the place, the property across the Farm to Market road had net wire. Leaving the net wire, crossing the road back toward my place was a small black pig limping! Could it have been one of the seconds? | ||

It seems that bit of rain and slightly cooler temps had them moving! I intended to check out a feeder here a couple times last night, but around 9:30 or 10, I was already hurting pretty badly and gave up on that.
