I am in the process of purchasing a Ruger compact laminate in .308.

They do not offer the Frontier style forward mounting picatinny rail any longer since the Frontier has been discontinued.

Is there a rail system that would mount to the existing scope mounts to house a scout scope?

If not I think it's getting the Zeiss Conquest, I have one on my 300 Weatherby and love that scope.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, on the scope, I have made my mind up on the rifle.

check with Midway or Midsouth shooters supply, they did have them.
