Gentlemen, I remember seeing an intereting vide either here in the Optics forum or the Long Range Shooting forum where shooters were trying out Christiansen rifles at long range. The 'scopes used were the Swarovski big variables (large magification range) and were equipped with the BR(?) reticles. The purpose of the test, according to the commentary was to see how good the long range approximation was using the BR reticle bars when shooting at 400, 500, etc, 700 upto 800 yards. I would like to see this test again but cannot find it. Additionally, what do those who have access to very long range, open spaces think about these reticles for shooting? In my opinion, they offer the hunter quite an advantage but I doubt tactical shooters will want to trade in the precision of their mil dot reticles.

Thank you George. That is the video I was thinking of. Having viewed it again, and as an aside, I am surprised with how little wind there is in the mountains / open country side.
