I’m having difficulty adjusting the windage after mounting a Zeiss Conquest to a CZ 550. The scope runs out of adjustment before I am able to get it adjusted properly. After the Zeiss didn’t work out I tried a Nikon and had the same issue. I’m trying to determine if it is possible to shim the mounts? I’m using the CZ scope rings that came with the rifle. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would take it to a respected gunsmith. As I've said before, even image-movement scopes should be mounted so the crosswires are more or less centred (count the clicks or look from the objective end). To settle for a situation where it is anywhere near the end of the adjustments is asking for trouble akin to parallax as we generally know it.

Maybe the mounts are not correct. To short, not thick enough? How about the rings? Taller rings, change the rings front to back or turn them around? How about the mounting holes. Are they centered and concentric? Like sambarman338 stated, take it to a good gunsmith to get things sorted out.

I tried a different set of rings, this solved the issue. I then duplicated the issue on another 550, indicating the issue was with the rings. Thank you for the suggestions.
