The Burris 3-12 scopes are great optics to be sure. However, for silhouette shooting you may run into problems. The eye relief on these scopes is not very generous and some people run into problems with them. Lots of people who tried them for silhouettes found they could not use the higher powers because the eye relief would not work for them in creedmore position. The only successfull silhouette shooters I know that use those scopes use a special extended mount that positions the scope quite a ways back behind the gun. They get the needed eye relief that way. I tried to shoot one of those set ups and found that it wobbled around too much for me. I have been very tempeted to buy the 3-12 with the AO to test pistol loads with, but for competition I use a couple of Leupold 2.5X8 scopes. R Flowers | |||
