I am looking for one of these..I know they made them in the 80s-90s...They stopped making them at the shorter length and came out with one maybe a inch longer to accomodate more applications....What was this model called so I may have a better chance fo finding one?? Confused Thanks

I am pretty sure it is the Diatal Diavari C.

Might want to ask and confirm with Doug@CameraLand.

I have a couple that were marked made in USA. The ones made in Germany have a rubber type coating on the front and rear bell and a shorter tube length. My scopes are marked

S-K,

The Zeiss 3-9x36's were (are) great scopes in a small package. I've attempted to obtain one as well for a reasonable price but when they show up on the bidding websites the prices tend to go sky-high quickly.

At @ the same size (11.81") another currently manufactured option in the same magnification range and objective size is the Swarovski AV 3-9x36 L.

My "Made in USA" is overall just under 11.5 inches long. The scope mounting 1 inch portion is `5 3/8 inches long to the extreme ends for ring spacing. I see them on e-bay going for about $500 regularly.
