I'm very interested in this question also. I've been contemplating the purchase of one of their low powered tactical models. Unfortunately, I've never actually seen one of their scopes. Anyone have any experience?

I love mine so far. It's a 4-14X50 Tactical.

It has replaced my Leupold VX-III 4.5-14X50 LR. The glass is every bit as brilliant as you'd expect from top Zeiss glass, I love the MP-8 Reticle, the turrets work perfectly, give more postitive clicks than I've ever felt and can be covered if you feel like it, the thing is built like a tank....

About the only things I think could be improved on this particular model are the length and weight. But for the price, you can't have everything. If wanting good turrets, reticle, top glass, etc, I don't think you can get more scope for the money.

Mr. Rigby, I have "heard" of durability problems with some of the 56mm models in the past. They're constantly upgrading things so that might not still be the case, but IIRC the IOR dealer I bought from (Scott Berish, Liberty Optics) still doesn't recommend the various 56mm models until they've proven themselves a bit more. Just FWIW.

Is this a custom A-Bolt?

Talk about the dark side of the force.

alright, i thougt it was a little bit cheap price at 480 US, but i have sendt an inqire to the Norwegian importer and hell check it out and report later about. i tryed one at a gunshow ,and it was fine, no problem in putting the sight on the target and fire, they have a shooting range there, so its possible to try rifles there, it was a bit different reticule than iam used to but a 8x56 would be fien for me ,as it has good optic and light gtahering for plenty of shooting and hunting

I hope it works well for you. Let us know how you like it.

D99, yup. Contrary to internet rumors that abound, they do exist. Wink This one spits out 240's at 3000+ and puts them into single ragged holes.... I like it. Big Grin

ill hear what the importe say first, but when if ther isnt something wrong woth ther 56 mm lines, but idont think its something big issuses, they have help from Zeiss and Leica and the lences are from Schott that makes glass for Zeiss and several others, the largest they have is a 9-36x56, that sounds interresting!!

The 8x56 is a traditional scope here in Europe, theyre used for night hunting after boar and fox and also for longer ranges hunting aswell. Carlos Hathcock had a 8xUnertl on his Winchester M-70 in 30-06, and the longest he fired a shot was 1200 meters!

I have an IOR Valdada in fixed 4x scope on my CZ 550 (9,3x62).

Absolutely love it. Crisp edge-to-edge clarity. excellent resolution, holds zero.

Excellent scope.

I also have the same model as Jon A does and like it very much but have gone thru several on couple big 338's 2 with 56mm obj and 1 with 50 mm that had issues as Jon A previously states so hope the one on my Lapua holds up as I really like these scopes. I am looking to get a 3x18 and see how it works out.

Aloha!!!
