Hi everyone,

What's a good, clear, durable lightweight spotting scope suitable for hunting use? I've got two spotters that I use at the range, but both are very bulky and aren't really suitable for use out of a vehicle.

Hints on what to avoid are useful too.

Thanks

I have 3 spotters. If I was traveling light, I would use my oldest scope. It is a Leupold 20X50 straight tube scope that has great eye relief which I feel very important in the field. It does not have the latest optics or coatings but still does a great job.
I was jus looking for one the other day on e-bay and there was one for $350.00. I do not believe I paid that much for it 20 years ago. It has been on a lot of mountain hunts with me. VERY LIGHT!
I believe Nikon makes a nice light weight variable straight tube scope however eye relief is wanting.
