I just bought a pre 64 mdl 70 in 270 and this externally adjustable Stith 4X scope with mounts came with it. The rifle is in great shape and the Scope and mounts is in like 96% or better condition also. I am sure the rifle, scope and mounts were put together when new.

Can anyone help me assertain a value for the scope and mounts along with any info on the set up? I need to sell it to offset a newer scope cost.

Jeff, go take a look on Ebay and see what they sell for there. The is a market for that scope with the mounts. Sorry I can't give you a firm amount. I thinking that somewhere around $50 would be about right but that could go up or down depending on who wants it at the time you're trying to sell it.

The mounts by themselves are harder to sell than ice cream on a cold day. I've got a Stith master mount like yours for a M70 that I'd have to give away because I can't get anyone to buy it. The mount without the scope don't get much on Ebay either
