On a recent trip, I lost the lens covers for my Leica Bino's. After scouring the net looking to buy some, I called Leica customer service. To my surprise they sent me out a new set free of charge. it's good to know there are still some companies out there that will take care of their customers instead of gouging them for a few bucks. +1 as I also received another set free of charge after one of mine broke. That's the only time I've needed anything from Leica. -------- There are those who only reload so they can shoot, and then there are those who only shoot so they can reload. I belong to the first group. Dom ---------

...in my experience, leica's service department has been exceptional, both the sports optics and camera departments...i believe leica is one of the few camera companies that still supports discontinued analog and digital cameras (software updates, sensors, lenses)...

That is good to hear. I own one of their range finders. Thanks for posting.

If I still have my lens covers but have lost my binoculars will they also take care of that?

...perhaps if you purchased a separate product insurance warranty that covers theft / loss...
