Do any one have expirence with theese
European-30 1.25-4x20mm Riflescope versus the VIII 1.5-5x20

When Midway was closing out some Leupold VX2 30mm scopes a couple of years ago, I asked about the difference between the 30mm and 1" tube Leupolds on another board. I was surprised to learn that the 30mm Leupolds have the same lenses as the 1" Leupolds, just mounted in a slightly larger diameter tube.

I don't like any of the 20mm objective Leupolds and think that the 2-7x33 VX2 is a brighter scopes then either the 1-4x or 1.5-5x with 20mm objectives. This is not a scientific test, just my observations based on using a couple of each.

Why not go with a single power 2x40 or 4x40 or 4x42? You'd have a nice bright sight picture.
