Any recommendations, this is my first attempt at br shooting.

Rifle is 700 Rem with a Krieger barrel and Richards stock .

Should I be looking at fixed or variable?

All input appreciated.

They also have some interesting mounting systems. Also checkout Near bases and rings.

What kind of BR shooting would you do with a Rem. 300RUM?

Nightforce for sure. and mount it in a Nightforce direct mount. such a simple mount but its very effective and it would take all the recoil from your RUM and never fail. check nightforces website and have a look at the direct mount.
