Of these two scopes from Swarovski what should I pick and why. The STR you get with shooting rectile etc that you dont get on the ATX. But is the ATX a better scope ?

Atx/stx are better scopes optically. They have bigger eye piece glass and break down to be smaller.

Str is the best scope of its type ever made, including the Hensholdt.
