Picked up my Nikon Gold 1200 range finder on Saturday and did a bit of testing on Saturday and Sunday PM. I'M IMPRESSED!! Fast, able to pickup small site points at long distances and clear optics! I ranged cow piles in a pasture consistently at 350-450 yards....not much target there! I ranged "dark clumps" of grass(fescue clups in orcherd grass fields) at 542 and 566 yards. Yearling angus calves out to 965 yards, only saw two deer but they were 251 and 304 yards. I did get a reading of 1174 yards on the gable end (only about 4 feet of this house is visible from where I was!!) of a house! Never had either the Bushnell, Weaver or the Leica read this much stuff at those distances!! I think it will more than suffice!! Charlie (GHD) Groundhog Devastation(GHD)

Hog, I have been trying to tell people that the Nikon Monarch Gold Rangefinder is an impressive piece of equipment. I would take it over the Bushnell Elite 1500 rangefinder any day. Jon Jackoviak The Optic Zone - Discount Rifle Scopes, Spotting Scopes and More! Email: info@theopticzone.com
