I have several rifles from .22 to .416 cal, as well as two 9 mm pistols. Having sighted two new scopes recently, I am more than ready for a bore sighting system! I'd like it to work for the pistols, too. However....my main hunting rifle is a Model 95 Winchester lever with a receiver sight and 3 swappable barrels (270, 30-06 and 375 H/S). I need whatever boresighter system I buy to work when I switch barrels, so I can tweak the receiver sight. Some of the lasers I've seen sit high above the crown and block the front bead. I am guessing the in-chamber models will be a problem for the 375 barrel. Even so, I am hoping to find a simple solution as I want it to travel with me for field use. Does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas and opinions would be appreciated.

Hello, There are cartridge style lasers for various caliber which would work for both optical as well as micrometer sights. I use one in 308 for both types of sight systems. Not sure of brands, but they are out there, mine was provided some years ago and works well. Late in the evening or when less sunshine, ruby colored laser dot shows up on target board, tree trunk, neighbors fence post(no neighbors around at the time!!) Just a suggestion.

I use the Laserlyte universal model. Works just fine on anything from .22 thru .50 caliber, both scopes and irons. It can be used on handguns with long barrels.
