Does anybody have any experience with the newcom 7x40 lbr 3000 pro or any of newcom products at 1700 for a range finder I would like some input before I buy.

Let's put it this way: You can do a lot better for the money !!! Heavy, bulky and fragile are 3 words that come to mind. I have a friend who had one. It didn't last too long before it stopped working.

I personlly have one and wish I didn't.

The problem likely is the excessive size of the "gate" or "footprint" of the laser beam, but either way about the only thing it will "range" reliably beyond 600 yards is a drive-in theater screen.

And mine is the supposed 1,500-yard model.

I'd strongly suggest considering one of the higher priced products from Germany (not Austria).
