I have a Remington Sendaro in 7MM Remington Mag. I am needing to put a scope on. I am thinking Nikon Monarch, for a couple of reasons. Have on on a 7mm-08 and like it, also some very good prices on these right now. But I am wondering how does it mount on a Remingtom long action, as it seems the scope tube is quite short ?

I have had a Nikon Monarch 5.5-16.5x44AO on a LA 7RM for years before moving it to a SA Sendero. It worked equally well on both rifles. I use the Leupold Standard or DD mounts. I prefer the redfield rings but, they are hard to find at many places.

I also have the 3-12x40AO Monarch on a LA 700 in 25-06. I have it on the Leupold one piece base with standard rings.

You should not have a problem with the Monarchs on your rifle. They are fine scopes. I use sveral different scopes on my rifles: Leupolds, Zeiss Conquest, Bushnell Elite 3200s, Burris FFIIs and Nikon MG, Monarchs, BMs, & Prostaff and I rank them: Ziess C., Nikon Monarch Gold, Monarch, Leupold VX3, Leupold VX2, Nikon BMs, Burris FFII, Bushnell 3200, Nikon PS in optical performance to my eyes.
