A good friend was recently trading out scopes he had had for several years on a couple of rifles. One was a 3-9 Leupold Compact. In the process he noticed that the objective bell was stamped "2-7X", however the power ring was numbered from 3-9 and the scope is definately (by comparison with a known 2-7) a 3-9 power scope. Wonder if anyone has ever run across such a mismark before? And do you know of any interest in collecting such curiosities?
