Chinese?

Correct, Hawke is mfg in China

I had a Hawke 6X on one of my K31's. Optical quality was OK but :
- the focusing ring was too loose and moved on its own just from taking the rifle in/out of its scabbard ;
- zero wandered from session to session.
I lived with it until a neoprene ring came loose and stuck out around the objective .
The scope leaflet mentioned a lifetime warranty, so I brought it back to the importer who treated it like a joke : a life waranty for a cheap Chinese scope, I must have been kidding ?!? I threw the damn thing away and replaced it with a (much more expensive but immensely more reliable) Leupold...
