I would like to know how much tension should you use to mount a scope properly.
Usually I mount the bases with loc-tite as hard as I can without breaking the screws. The ring are tightened pretty hard, but not to the point where I flex the allen wrench.
I would like some advice on what is the "right" way to tighten everyting up.
Thanks!!

Trick,
Thanks for the reply, but it is a bit over my head. I really don't know what they mean by the wrench....I will mount it with the torx-allen wrench that came with the rings and scope. Could you help me out with using this tool in mind?? I really appreciate it!

"The wrench" they refer to is probably like your torx wrench that came with your rings.

Tighten all screws using THE SHORT END of the torx wrench ABOUT as tight as you can.
Grab the torx wrench at the "bend" in your torx wrench and tighten your screws.

I use Loctite for the bases, but not the ring caps.

I would encourage you to reread the Badger Ord instructions again, because they offer some good tips for ring/base installation.

Hope this helps.

OK, thanks. So...put the Long end torx into the ring screws and hold the SMALL end with your fingers, so I guess this limits the amount of torque you can put into the screws.
For the bases I will use more pressure and use the loc tite.
Thanks
