It looks like I have a few dollars to spend before an elk trip at the end of the month and thought replacing my old Ninon Monarch 800 would be a good idea. It has been a dependable tool but in poor weather it is very limited. I'd use it for wide open areas in Colorado and Here as well but also as my archery rangefinder so the angle feature of the Leica would be useful not to mention the pocket size. They are about equal in cost from Doug at cameralandny and I haven't touched either unit to compare. I could use some help on this $600 sight unseen choice. Thanks

Hi,I bought the Leica from Doug this September.I like it because of the angle compensator. Also nice is it works at short distances and I use it bowhunting in a tree stand.I have ranged deer in farm fields out to 600 yds.I am sure it will range the further ,I have not seen them at longer distance to do it.As far as being clear they both are excellent. The Zeiss to me is bigger and clumsier. You could not go wrong with either one.
