I just bought a brand new Remington 700 SPS .223. I also purchased the last remaining Simmons 44 Mag 6.5-20 x 44 A.O. model M1047 scope the store had (now discontinued). Any idea what ring height I'll need to mount this scope? I have a set of Leupold Rifleman bases for Weaver style rings. I seem to remember a page on Midway USA's website devoted to determining the correct rings but I can't seem to find it now. I plan on using Weaver Grand Slam rings or a similar design ring but I need to know what height to order.

I'd guess medium would work in most brands. Low's are definately out, and you might need highs because of the fat barrel, but I think you'll be all right with medium.
