With Prairie Dogs in mind.

What would be your ultimate prairie dog set-up with the M12 in 204 Ruger as your rifle?

Of course clarity at long range is my primary thought, but with durability to handle thousands of rounds fired as well.

I am thinking a variable scope up to 20 power with aftermarket/calibrated turret knobs for Federal Priemium 39 gr Blitz King loads.

I am willing to spend $800 or so, since I do know that you get what you pay for.

I would appreciate your suggestions and advice!!
