How can i adjust the Warne set rings for the Ruger nr 1 i have in .450 NE?

I need to get it a little bit to the left since the reticle is on the right side of the front sight.

Why not adjust the windage of the scope?

Mr Rigby, not very technical, but I have solved this issue with warnes by putting the 'tightening up side' opposite of the one on the other end of the scope.

In other words, mounts near objective with tightening screws on bolt side of gun, mounts at other end with tightening screws on opposite.

Good Luck--Don

Unless you lap the rings in this position, installing them this way will leave them not aligned to each other, putting a lot of bending stress on the scope tube when you tighten everything down.

The best system I've seen for adjusting the alignment of the scope tubes is the Burris Signature series rings, and their Pos-Align offset inserts. The spherical inserts automatically align to the scope tube, so no lapping or other alignment is needed.

Big Jake, they're vertically split rings, so I've found this--torque or whatever not to be an issue. I've actually got a lapping tool and have put it into vertically split rings and contact was always very even--but maybe I'm just lucky. Having said that, all my scopes require very minimal adjustment, and almost no windage adjustments.....
