Sort of like cell phones and computers, ain’t it!

I was looking at them, and they have some really nice features, but I refuse to buy any field gear that requires me to memorize and/or carry around an instruction manual.

I think, for now anyway, I’ll keep my Leica 1200. Point, Push button...ugh, work good!

My pet peeve is microwave ovens that it takes you longer to figure out how to turn them on than to cook the food.

While it's surely not the best on the market, the Bushnell 800 I picked up on closeout only requires you pick it up and push one button. You don't even have to turn it "on". Simplicity is becoming ever more valuable.

Same with my Leica. I like simple things that my simple mind can operate automatically. Unfortunately, for me, that oftentimes limits my activities to little more that basic bodily functions each day...but what the hell, as long as they don’t make zippers any more complicated than they already are I guess I’m okay! Smiler

Zippers aren't a problem, at least not yet.

Thank goodness I'm far past the age that I need to worry about the arcane and complex mechanism through which a brassiere is unfastened (with one hand, in the dark, and without the wearer knowing that you know that she knows what you're trying to do, lest she feel obligated to protest). How did we ever survive our youth?
