Hi all,

First post here, and was wondering what people think of these scopes or any Burris for that matter? Would be my first time trying other than Leupold, Nikon, or Simmons... I have just heard so many good things about these scopes!

Thanks for any and al advice,
Anthony

I have both signature series and full field originals and full field II scopes and have been very happy with them.

I have both the signature series and some of the older and newer full fields and have been very happy with all of them. I think they are comparable to my leupolds. On a side note I did have an issue with a reticle once and their customer service was great.

I have a Burris 3-12x Sig Select on my AR15. I have no problems with the Sig Selects and readily compare them against the Leupold VXIII scopes for brightness and clarity.

The only drawback I've found with the Sig-Select is that they seem to be just a tad more eye-position sensitive than the Leupolds. Not quite sure exactly why that is, but that's what I've seen.

Final note: Zeiss Conquest line is, without a doubt, a clearer and brighter scope than the Burris Sig Select and Leup VXIII line. On the other hand the Leups are lighter and look better.

Anyway, I liked Burris enough that when I needed a new scope for my .375 I bought a Burris Euro-Diamond 1-4x.

Regards,

Robert

Thanks for the replies all! I think the only thing that makes me want to steer away from Burris is that they have the Ballistec Plex on so many models. I have always sighted in my rifles and shot the same way, with a regular duplex. I have always liked scopes with Adj Objectives or side focus for parallax. I may just go with a 4.5- 14 VXIII. I have a Nikon Monarch 4.5- 16.5 with an AO that is as sharp/ clear as I have ever seen, but I question the reliability. It seems every time I go back to the range I have to adjust it a hair this way or that way. On the other hand, I have a discontinued Simmons 4.5- 14 with an AO, and the only time I have had to adjust it was when I was forced to make the switch to copper (I live in CA).

Ahh... Decisions, decisions...

The Burris lineup has served me well. I've used Fullfields, FFIIs, Signature and the handgun scopes.

Also, the BP reticle is only an option. You do NOT have to get a scope with this, although it is so well done that it is not even discernbile unless you are actually looking for it.

You can get the standard plex reticle.

With that being said, the BP system does work very well. thumb
