Does anyone have any experience with either the Mueller 4-16×50AO Tactical or Sport Dot scopes. I’m looking for a good reasonably priced illuminated variable in this power range for my .17 HMR. I know the Mueller won’t compare to a Leupold. But is the overall quality of the 4-16x Tactical or Sport Dot a good step up from Mueller’s APV? Has anyone tried it on a .17 HMR? Are there any better alternatives in this general price range?

I do not buy optics made in China. I do not believe in 'settling for good enough' for my optics.

Also, a 4x-16x 50mm scope is ridiculously large for a typical .17HMR rifle.

Look for a Burris compact 3x-9x if the cost of a Leupold is more than you are willing to pay.

i've had ome of those muellers for a few years now & had no trouble with it at all. my only complaint would be that the whole center reticule lights up and that's to bright for me
