Could anyone help me figure out what kind of rings, and rear base I need to go with this quarter rib? It sits on a 375 H&H built on an FN action.

Not that I've got one of their centrefires, but I don't suppose it would fit mounts intended for a CZ? You could measure the width and ask your gunshop or take it to a well-established gunsmith and ask him if he has anything that fits.

It is actually at the gunsmith right now to have the quarter rin soldered on instead of bolted on as it is now. He couldn't remember what it was called but mentioned that it was often found on classic "africa guns". That however doesn't help me figure out what to buy.

I though about the CZ bases and will ask the smith to measure the quarter rib but, doesn't the CZ's come with the same dove tails machined into the rear receiver ring? Is there there a bolt on rear base to match the front dovetail?

At a glance it also looks like Talley rings could fit but there is no recoil "hump" like on the Talley bases. Will it be ebough to use a Talley rear base with this?

Yes, CZ mill dovetails into both receiver rings. Maybe yours is for something mounted way forward.

Hi,

I think it is a Warne Premier base. For the corresponding Warne Premier rings. Not made anymore but floating around.
