The Bushnell Elite 1500 with ARC or the Leupold RX-II with TBR? I'm interested in your experiences or opinions of either one. Don't let so much reality into your life that there's no room left for dreaming.

Neither of the ones you mention. The Leica's are the best for the money and the Swarovski is the best. If possible try ranging with a Leica CRF 1200 vs a Bushnell or Leupold and you will see the difference......................DJ ....Remember that this is all supposed to be for fun!..................

Second DJ. The Leica is superb. Small, rugged, simple, exellent lens quality, in fact a small 7x monocular. Just aim, push the button and you have the reading, as simple as it can be. Arild Iversen.

I couldn't afford the high end so I went with a Nikon Gold 1200. My guide in Colorado this year threw his new leupold in the back seat of the truck after he tried mine. We used mine for the rest of the hunt.

I apologize for not being more clear in my request for information/opinions. I was referring solely to the newer style of range finders with "True Ballistic Ranging" or "Angle Range Compensator" or whatever the maker calls their proprietary angle-compensating technology. These new-generation range finders allow the user to compensate for inclines whether they be up or down. I have an older Bushnell 600 that while inexpensive, has always worked well. I just cannot accurately guess the horizontal distance when shooting up or down. Don't let so much reality into your life that there's no room left for dreaming.

I wouldn't give up superior optics and performance to have such a gimmick.......................DJ ....Remember that this is all supposed to be for fun!..................

Interesting. And where would I look for one of these? Don't let so much reality into your life that there's no room left for dreaming.
