I just received target turrets from Kenton Industries and the turrets install very easily and work fine. Problem is I can't get a full revolution of elevation before the scope runs out of adjustment. It's a VXII 3X9 and has 15" in 1 complete revolution. I get to about 12 and that's it. I need to shim the scope but need advice on how much and where. Your replies will be greatly appreciated. Luke, sorry I can't help you with shims etc. One option, though, might be to use Burris Signature rings and get the offset via inserts.

That's the best route to go.
You don't want to stress the scope tube by having the front and rear rings out of alignment, so Signature rings will be best to avoid that.

If the turrets you installed are restricting your scope's total adjustment to only 12 MOA, then I wouldn't say that they "work fine". Rather than attempting to compensate for the restricted adjustment I would recommend that you return the turrets to the manufacturer along with your description of their shortcoming. Or at least contact the manufacturer to determine if there may be some other problem that you are overlooking.

Thanks for the replies. I'll get the Burris rings to stop from twisting the scope. The turret is installed right and with the turret off the scope it has about 12" of vertical adjustment left. I'll try the rings. Thanks for the help., PaLuke

You could also get a 20moa base from Ken Farrel, Glen Seekins or many others that offer them. This would be the most "solid" route to go.
