If you have used a Nightforce scope using the varmint ranging reticle NP R1 can you comment on how easy it is to use hunting coyotes, fox, woodchucks & paper targets vs. using one of the other nightforce reticles or those of other scope makers?

Well, I can't comment on it yet (NP-R1), just got it mounted on one of my 220 swift.

My others have the NP-1RR and the mil dot. These both work well for PD and coyotes.

Although I don't own a Nightforce scope, all of the postings by guys who do own them are very complimentary.

Yes, and it works well. Nowadays though, it is easier for me to use a laser rangefinder and adjust as needed with a simpler plainer reticle.

Good luck!

Have the 12-42 X 56 on the 338LM , Ch-2 reticle : No complaints.
Can't help you as to your reticle choice , but overall quality is very good.
