| I know that the Luger 8x42mm and 10x42mm roof prism binoculars were made in the same Japanese factory as the Eagle Optics Ranger Platinum Class. They are essentially the same binoculars, yet the Lugers were marketed at more than twice the price of the Eagle Optics.
