This scope is about 15 cm in length, has an eye relief of about 2 inches from eyepiece, has 2 sets olf rings....one for mounting on a base, and another bearing crude open sights. I e-mailed Meopta in Czech Republic, but got no reply. Are there AR members who can help me???

That's a military scope for an assault rifle, for sure.

That is a ZF4 scope developed originally for the K43 semiauto rifle for the Wehrmacht.
The scope is more commonly seen fitted in swept back mounts on the 98k.
It is probably marked GW ZF4 and the dow,ddx or maybe bzz to identify the manufacture.
A collectors piece but not up to the standards of modern glass.
