I think that this should be simple but I can't figure it out....Does anyone know how to increase the brightness of my rangefinder display on my Leica's? It is incredibly faint and I can barely read it. I initially thought that it was a low battery so I replaced it but I still can only barely read it if I move to contrast it against a dark background.....

I haven't found anything with regard to this in the manual.
Maybe it has to do with your focus settings which also include the display. Have a look in your manual.

call Doug at Cameraland. If not adjustable, could be just a low battery?

There is not manual adjustment. They auto adjust based on ambient light.

Sounds like you need to contact Leica to have them looked at.
