I'm thinking of getting an infrared scope and was warned about traveling abroad and "you know it's ITAR...." But from what little I have read, that warning/fine print applies to exportation and not necessary just travel abroad. If so, I would think the simple 4457 form would cover my return. I don't foresee the overseas police/customs as an issue as they're mainly worried about guns and ammo. Any insight would be helpful.
