is this the same scope as the whitetail expedition? midway has them for 100$. might be a good scope for my NEF heavy barrel 243.

It's a decent scope, but of lower quality than a Whitetail Expedition

I have a couple of these scopes and think that they are a pretty good value in a 2nd/3rd tier scope for $100. I would caution you not to mount 1 on any semi-automatic rifle, as I shook 1 apart within around 1500+/- rounds when it was on a Ruger 10/22.
