Am looking to improve my spotter scope for viewing .22 cal and up holes at 100-300 yds. How would these two scopes compare: Leupold Green Ring 15x45 Green Ring Sequoia and the Nikon Spotter XL II? They are both made in Japan if I am not mistaken. I have a pair of Green Ring 8x42 binos and am impressed by their clarity for their price. I do see that the Nikon costs a bit more. If I was willing to spend twice the money I would seriously look at a Leupold Gold Ring 12x40x60, just the regular one not the HD lenses...seems like their prices have come down? I used one a couple of years ago while doing some "birdwatching" on the Tigris River and the clarity and durability were excellent...too bad it was "company" property. sputster | ||
