Ole Miss GuyLens Coatings
I have several quality scopes that are old, but in excellent working condition except for worn coatings. Anyone know how I may remove the coatings with a solvent? Thanks.

SR4759Those coatings are typically cleaned with acetone, isopropyl alcohol and ammonia solutions.
The result is the coatings can only be cleaned but cannot be removed with solutions or solvents.

J_ZolaDepends on coating. Mgf can be soften with methnol. If it has a SiO2 over coat for protection cannot remove it.
