I've got a Burris Euro Diamond 1-4 and a Leupold VX-II 1-4. After focusing the reticle on each and set at 1 power the Burris is true 2 eyes open both eyes seeing in the same focus. The VX-II is somehwhat magnified so with 2 eyes open the naked eye and the scope are at different focus. When I crank the Burris reticle all the way down, giving no enlargement of the picture, it's in focus to my eye. When the Leupold is cranked down, so there's no enlargement of the picture, it's out of focus, so then when adjusted it actually magnifies a little. I don't get all this. Shouldn't any/all true 1 power scopes be true 2 eyes open with no difference in focus or magnification for either eye when on 1 power?

Actually the Burris DOES do the same thing as I suppose all 1x scopes do. Slight reticle adjustment must slightly magnify the sight picture so it will never be perfect like you are looking thru 2 naked eyes. I do really like the true 1x's for a dangerous game set up.

The actual low end magnification of the Leupold VX-II 1-4x20mm is 1.6x. You learn something new everyday whether you want to or not.
