Several months ago I bought a Tasco Titan 1.5-6 power scope on closeout for a Ruger #1 in .405 Winchester...

It was mounted in Warne QD rinds so that either the open sights or a New England Custom Guns peep sight could be used if it was raining...

Yesterday was the first chance I have had to shoot the gun. Factory 300 grain RN loads were used at 50 yards.

The optics are nice and clear and the scope easily adjusted to POA. Just shot two three shot groups from the sitting position with a sling. Both groups went about 1.25" and were nicely centered. The round went where the crosshair was when the shot broke.

With the Ruger #1 one usually has to use extention rings to get the scope far enough back to get a full field of view. The Tasco is long enough on the ocular end to not have to use the high expention rings.

This was a lot of scope for the money. Usually I would never buy any Tasco other than the Super Sniper marketed by SWFA as I have seen too many of them fail..but this scope was worth the money paid...too bad they are no more...
