GDOG,
I just this week purchased the Katmai's in 6x32 configuration. I haven't looked at any of the other configurations.
Impressions:
Its a very easy view (especially with eyeglasses). They are very compact and turkey hunting with thim has been a dream. I really like the Natural finish and would buy it again over the regular black. Optically, they give a very good image, but do not have that "wow" factor when you put them up (that may be as much from mine being 6x as anything though). Fit is average. The rubber coating, however, is well below. It provides a secure grip, but mine still had "tags" from the injection molding process.
Hope this helps
Ken

Yes, they are not as good as the Eagle Optics Ranger Platinum Class 6x32mm or 8x32mm which can be had for a little more and definitely worth it.

You can look at the Eagle Optics Ranger Platinum Class at your nearest Wild Birds Unlimited. http://wbu.know-where.com/wbu/region/MI.html If you are near Ann Arbor, the Wild Birds Unlimited store on Main Street is having a binoculars sale this Sat. and Sun. April 22 and 23. Expect a good discount on your Eagle Optics Ranger Platinum Class binoculars. Don't miss it if you can help it.

You learn something new everyday whether you want to or not.
