Looked at one of these scopes with a ballistic plex reticle. Appears to be a decent scope but looking through one inside a stor doesn't tell the whole story. I thought the field of view was less than some comparable scopes. Any comments from users out there?

I have the that scope with standard duplex, Buuris is a nice scope comparable in quality to a leupold but slightly bulkier and my belief heavier
I really don't notice the difference and I have a few of the 4.5 to 14 leupolds

Hey snowman,

I have one of these exact models with the adjustable front objective, use it on my coyote gun, a Rem700 22-250 & love it!

Field of view is decent, depending on what power you have it set at...I find that most often I have it set between 8 at the min and 12 at max (out in the open).

For calling in the bush it's nice to be able to dial it down to 4.5 or 5 and bring the objective setting right down to 50 yards.

Once or twice I've been caught having the objective set at 50 yards when it should have been at 100 or 200, but as long as a guy thinks before he starts calling it's not usually an issue.

I use the bal plex a lot. I have it all figured for shots out to 500 yards & have taken 3 coyotes between 475 and just over 500 yards!

For the price I paid for mine (about $320) off ebay from the US (before all the export permit BS) I'm happy with it!!

What price did you find them on sale for??

Brad

I have one on my AR 10. I'm very pleased with it and haven't had any negative issues with it. Great scope for a decent price. I have the mil dot reticle in mine.

I have the clone a Pentax Pioneer I got from Doug at Camera land on sale for a knock around Savage 243. It looks great to me compared to anything similarly priced and has held zero consistently even though my son and his friends drag it around the woods like it was a walking stick. I wish I had bought another one for my 17 HMR. The eye box is not as forgiving as a Leupold according to friends but I tend to put my head in the same place every time so I've never noticed it.

I use to be a big Burris fan I have two of these scopes and 8 or 10 other burris scopes.

I buy Leupolds now fought with Burris for 2 years and sent a scope back forth to them 8 times before they gave me a new one.

So much for their forever warranty.

I'm not too familiar with the Burris line. Is this the one made in the Philippines?
