I posted this on another site but did not generate many responses so I thought I'd try it here. I need a new tripod to use on my sheep and caribou hunts next fall and will be carrying them every day so they have to be somewhat light but sturdy enough to hold my Nikon XL II spotter. I dont want to have to take out a loan to buy one either. Any ideas or thoughts?

Hello M70Nut,

I asked this question just a couple of days ago. Some good advice on my thread which is posted a few spaces below yours.
