Does anyone know if the sight has to be re-zeored if you change the battery? Thanks, AR

Have 2, and so far they have not, but I'm paranoid enough that I check it anyhow .... JEB Katy, TX Already I was beginning to fall into the African way of thinking: That if you properly respect what you are after, and shoot it cleanly and on the animal's terrain, if you imprison in your mind all the wonder of the day from sky to smell to breeze to flowers—then you have not merely killed an animal. You have lent immortality to a beast you have killed because you loved him and wanted him forever so that you could always recapture the day - Robert Ruark DSC Life Member NRA Life Member

Surely not! The concept of trusting something run on batteries as a sight is fraught at best; to have the danger of losing zero as well would be too much to countenance. GPS etc can retain old info without a battery, so why not red-dot sights? Try it at home and, if zero is lost, take off the sight and stamp your foot on it so no one might ever be caught relying on it in the wilderness.

I have not owned one, so can't say for sure. However, I am pretty sure the position of the components are not controlled electronically but by adjusting screws and springs same as any normal scope, so I would be very surprised. The only electronic control is the brightness of the dot, and possibly what the display looks like.
