It appears to be on par with the VX3 range as far as glas is concerned, but with a 30 mm tube like their European range. It has an illuminated recticle dot that can go brighter and dimmer by way of a push button. The Leupold VX•R 3-9x40 mm sells for S479.95 at SWFA. Warrior

Leupold 1.25-4x20 VX-R 30mm Riflescope Stock # - LEU111230 Matte FireDot Duplex 30mm 1-Button Illumination Vibration Sensor Index Matched Lens Coatings Lead-Free Edge-Blackened Lenses Price: $439.95 This one might be a winner as a DG scope. This design does not feature that ugly protruding wart on the eyepiece. I also like the illuminated dot better than the whole reticule or part therof. The 8 levels of brightness makes it also more versatile to one's individual taste. Warrior
