It is good to see that the US military have finaly realised what the brits have known for sometime and that is if you what the best scope for you rifle then buy a S&B maybe one day they will go all the way and ditch the remmy for a TRG with optilocs to match the quality of the scope they have selected for their sniper rifles.

Wood, the word is, he was 'ejected' from the forums for taking someone to task rather agressively. I was out of town at the time, but when I got back, I read a few posts that basically said what I recanted above.

He was a knowledgeable guy, I miss his posts.

Later--Don

Think I'd rather have a US Optics scope on a sniper rifle than a S&B.

I had a S&B 4-16x50 on a long range 'roo rifle and traded it for a Nightforce NXS.

Sorry I would have to side with Blair Calvin on this one. I have had a S$B also....But have now sold it and a couple of Leupolds (6.5 x 20 LR) and maybe its just my eyes but Nightforce NXS smokes them both. Kenny

An advertisement recently said S&B was the only scope to pass all the tests.
Or could be Mil speak for "we got a good deal".

They are expensive..............especially when you have to replace them thumbdown

The NXS has much more repeatable adjustments than the S&B and a greater range of adjustment, but the S&B is superior optically, IMHO.

The scope shown above and the one here are different models of the USO SN-3. Here below on the M70 7WSM is the 30mm tube ERGO objective version with unlit reticle, the one above is the "Canadian" with H-25 Horus Reticle, 34mm Tube, Metric EREK and Center parallax adjustment.

Oh, and REPLACEMENT??? The USO scopes have a 80 year, no questions asked warranty.

Hi Blair,

What model S&B 4-16x50 did you have?

I've just orderd a 4-16x50 PM11 with illuminated P4 fine reticule to go with my semi custom .260 as a do all scope/rifle combo, from crow to red deer to night time foxes with a lamp.

How did yours preform at night?

Cheers

James.
