-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was wondering if anyone could recommend the proper height for a set of Talley rings that will be placed on a 30-06 Weatherby Accumark with a Leupold 4.5-14 LR scope (40mm obj). Based on my experiences with Talleys on 2 other rifles I was thinking that the med height would be appropriate for the heavy contour barrelled accumark. Any advice you can provide is appreciated. Thanks. Mike | ||

I have a 40mm objective on my Accumark 338-378 and use medium rings. With those rings there is probably 8 to 10 mm of clearance. That tells me that there is no reason low rings won't work. It certainly depends on your prefered firing position. In other words, are you a stock crawler or just lean your cheek lightly on the stock. If you are a crawler, you'll more then likely prefer the low rings and the mediums if not. Ken....
