I'm looking to purchase the M-308 for my Savage 12FVSS 308 when it hits the stores. I was told that it's designed for 168gr bullets. But I haven't talked to anyone that has used the M-223 which is calibrated for a 55gr bullet. Does anyone here have one or can testify to how well it works?

I have 2 of the M-223 (3-12) scopes. One of them is on a 308. Just don’t let them meet before mounting and it will work. Wink

Nikon has a ballistic calculator for BDC retical.

Includes lots of factory loads and reloads. The bad new is that I have not shot either past 100yds. These are the only Nikon scopes I have and I am very impressed. Glass is unbelievably clear and the knobs are right on and repeatable. I do wish they would make an illuminated version.
