I have a pair of Bausch & Lomb bino's that are faulty, I believe that Bushnell And B&L are both the same! So I have e-mailed their customer service dept 11 times without response. Perhaps I should go to 100 e-mails before I call them!
Any body had any dealings with Bushnell customer service, or know of a more direct approach?

regards

griff

The easiest thing is to just call them @ 1-800-423-3537

I have had bad dealings with their customer service. They refused to honor their warrenty on an older scope. I have been told that there are a couple of people to talk to there, but do not remember the names. Good luck with getting your problem solved.

I bought a 2-73200 about 3-4 years ago. It lost it's ability to stay on zero. I sent it back, and waited about ten days before I got a reply that it had been recieved. BTW, this was last November during deer season. Anyway, two days later the scope was back to me. It's on a 7x57 that I have fired about 100 rounds since then and has not ben rezeroed since. capt david troll

Several years ago, I bought a pair of B+L 10X40 Binos for guiding in the Yukon. Halfway through my 3 month stay, they started to crap out. I had to use an old pair of Zeiss the outfitter had kicking around. When I returned home, I called them and explained my story, they said that due to the harsh rigors I was putting them through, that the warranty was void...woo-hoo, $800 spent on junk. They told me that by the time I paid Shipping, and the cost for them to repair them, It would be cheaper for me to go buy a new pair...I was ecstatic!
I have never said one good word about their crap since, and would never suggest one to by anything from them......Leupold all the way!

I could be wrong about this, but I believe that the old Bausch and Lomb Balvar and Balfor scopes came with a lifetime warranty. I sent a Balvar and Balfor to Bushnell, they said the scopes were out of warranty. For the Balfor 4x, they offered to give me a Bushnell 2-7 trophy scope for ONLY $130. I dont think they even retail for that much. Told them thanks anyway, Ill take the $130 and buy a used Leupold.

Bushnell is odd in warranty to me.

Sent in a Sportview that went south after being on many rifles for years. It was their cheapest scope. They had quit making them, and sent me a Sportsman immediately. Okay, good enough.

Then sent in a Banner, less than one year old with its entire life on a heavy 22LR. Good mounts, never used except at the range. They declined to fix it, saying it had suffered abuse having a bent tube. Hmmm, offered to fix it for an amount near price of a new one. Or to return it unfixed. I fumed about it a couple days. Then decided I would have them send it back, where I would saw it into pieces posting the result wherever I could.

But called them asking to talk to a supervisor. And complained bitterly, explaining how it had gentle use, how I owned a couple of 4200's, a 3200, and how all would go up for sale with an explanation of why. And that I wouldn't buy anymore. Since a scope so flimsy to fail on a 22 wasn't worth having at all.

They agreed relucntantly to fix it.

I detest having to go to that point when they should just fix it. I didn't get rid of the other scopes I had. But I wasn't fully happy.

I own 6 Bushnell scopes and hear about complaints on their customer service from time to time. Three years ago, I took a 30+ year old 2-7X Custom 22 scope back to their Canadian HO for cleaning and adjustment (not focusing to my satisfaction). They cleaned and adjusted the scope in 20 minutes while I waited. No question on ownership or warranty. I guess I am lucky to be within driving distance to their HO so I saved the shipping costs.

I take real good care of my equipments. With all the scopes and optics I own, this is my only experience in customer service.

I sent in a Trophy 3x9 and got the same bent tube story. The scope was mounted on a Ruger so I think they just didn't want to repair it. I won't ever buy another Bushnell product.
